Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for Theatre to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of theatrical productions and related projects. This role is central to ensuring that all aspects of our productionsโ€”from pre-production through post-show evaluationโ€”are managed efficiently and professionally. Key Responsibilities: - Develop comprehensive project plans for theatrical productions, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation - Coordinate between creative teams (directors, designers, choreographers) and technical departments (lighting, sound, stage management) - Manage production budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising artistic vision - Schedule rehearsals, technical runs, and performance dates while accommodating all stakeholder needs - Oversee vendor relationships including set construction, costume creation, and equipment rental - Monitor project progress against established milestones and implement corrective actions as needed - Facilitate communication between artistic directors, producers, cast, crew, and administrative staff - Manage risk assessment and contingency planning for potential production challenges - Maintain detailed project documentation and performance metrics - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout all production phases Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Theatre Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) - Minimum 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in theatre or performing arts - Strong understanding of theatrical production processes and terminology - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite - Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities - Budget management and financial tracking experience - Ability to work collaboratively with creative and technical teams - Problem-solving mindset with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances What We Offer: - Competitive salary commensurate with experience - Opportunity to work with talented artists and creative professionals - Professional development and training opportunities - Flexible working arrangements during production cycles - Health insurance and benefits package - Access to theatrical performances and cultural events
